Happy 2022! (I guess? It’s not exactly off to a smashing start, but here’s hoping it gets a whole lot better very soon!)
I’ve been wanting to find a space to share my reflections on writing and parenting, so at the end of 2021, I launched Overthinking It: a monthly(ish) newsletter with personal essays exploring deep thoughts and big feelings as well as my recommendations and book news. Check it out and subscribe if you’d like!
As newsletter subscribers already know, we’re five months out from the launch of my next middle grade novel, Coming Up Short. Coming Up Short is available for preorder wherever books are sold, but if you’d like a signed and personalized copy, stay tuned. I’ll share a link to order one from my local independent bookstore as soon as I can. You can also add Coming Up Short on Goodreads and request an eARC on NetGalley or Edelweiss if you review books on those sites.

I’m pleased to share that there will also be an audiobook for Coming Up Short; audio rights recently sold to Tantor Media, the audiobook publisher for Up for Air. And my 2021 release, Saint Ivy: Kind at all Costs, is coming out in paperback on May 10, 2022! I hope Ivy’s story will reach many new readers in a lighter weight, less expensive new format, and I’m looking forward to having readers meet Bea, the main character of Coming Up Short, before too long. Here’s a teaser for now!
